Nigeria’s national senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, has been drawn into Group B of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Ball Championship, where they will compete against Tunisia, Madagascar, and Cameroon.

D’Tigers, who clinched their sole AfroBasket title in 2015 and have earned four silver and three bronze medals historically, will aim to reclaim their past glory.

Hosts Angola will headline Group C alongside South Sudan, Guinea, and Libya.

Group A is consist of Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cape Verde, and Rwanda, while Group D will feature intense rivalries among Senegal, Mali, Egypt, and Uganda.

The tournament is scheduled for August 12th to 24th, 2025 and will be hosted in Angola’s capital, Luanda, and the southern city of Namibe.
