Thousands of Anioma sons and daughters from across the nine local government areas of Delta North as well as party faithful, elders and members of the All Progressives Congress have reaffirmed their solidarity for the re-election of the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Senator Ned Nwoko.
The teeming supporters stormed the Asaba international Airport today to accord Senator Ned Nwoko a rousing reception from Abuja.
Radio Nigeria gathered that Senator Nwoko alongside the immediate past President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was on route to attend the burial ceremony of a former deputy governor of Delta State, Chief Benjamin Elue.
Commenting on the rousing reception accorded him by the people of Delta North, Senator Ned Nwoko commended his teeming supporters for their solidarity, and gave an assurance that he would continue to give his constituents purposeful, meaningful ,proper and adequate representation at the Senate.
The Senator representing Delta North who pushed for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu used the occasion to declare his second term bid for the Red Chamber.
He stated , ”President Bola Tinubu is my President. I joined his team before anybody else because I believe in him. His administration is doing very well, and he will be re-elected of course, and we are all working together for the progress and development of the country”
Senator Nwoko reaffirmed commitment to the realization of the creation of Anioma State, referencing the positive remarks made few weeks ago by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio during the APC Zonal Congress in Asaba.
He hinted that he is working relentlessly to end decades of power outage in many communities in Ndokwa axis of Delta State through Okpai Step down.
”I have been pushing for the step down power plant at Okpai. We must have light in all communities in Anioma land. We must have water, with the completion of the Ogwashi-Ukwu multi purpose dam,
“The people know me, and I know them. I understand their needs and I am committed to solving their problems, I urge all my constituents to remain steadfast in their support for progressive governance”
”I am working on the upgrade of the Federal College of Education Technical ,Asaba, to a federal university. The move is strategic to expanding access to higher education and fostering development in the region”, Senator Nwoko stated
