The General Director of Scripture Union, SU Nigeria, Pastor Uwem Cosmos Udoh stated this on arrival at SU house Ikotabasi street, Uyo the Akwa Ibom State Capital.
The SU General Director an indigene of Akwa Ibom State who is on a tour in Uyo Region noted that leaders in scripture Union should take the task of rebuilding the union seriously.
Admonishing the members from the SU years theme ” REBUILDING THE BROKEN WALLS” Pastor Cosmos noted that leaders in SU ministry should take steps to labour in Gods work as God is also faithful to take care of their individual needs.
” I perceive the Lord is doing the rebuilding already, but I want us to noted that it’s a very serious task’.
” And if the rebuilding fails in personal lives, family lives in the ministry, then the future will be very terrible “.
The Regional chairman, Uyo Region, Prof. Henry Ojating express joy over the General Director’s tour, maintaining that the visit will enhance the SU work in the Region.
Meanwhile, In a statement by the Regional Coordinator of Uyo Region , Rev. Odinaka Egwu yesterday Sunday which is the arrival of the GD was for all Regional committee members, while today Monday 13th October is Tour of Uyo Area which will include visit to stakeholders in the state .
Tomorrow , Tuesday 14th October would be Tour of Ikot Ekpene Area, Visit to Methodist Archbishop of Ikot Ekpene Archdiocese and other stakeholders as well as Interactive session with SU Leaders & Stakeholders from Ikot Ekpene Area .
Wednesday, 15th October: Would be Tour of Ikom Area which will include Visit to Ikom LGA Chairman and other stakeholders as well as
Interactive session with SU Leaders & Stakeholders in Ikom Area .
On Thursday 16th October: and Friday 17th October would be Tour of Calabar Area while Saturday, 18th October Tour of Uyo Area continues with Interactive session with SU Leaders & Stakeholders from Uyo Area at Uyo central group and the Foundation laying ceremony of the Conference hall at Camp of Favour ..
According to the statement the tour will round up on Sunday, 19th October with a Church Worship at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Uyo Parish, 73 Willington Bassey Way, Uyo and later Regional Joint Fellowship and Home coming celebration /Farewell to GD at Uyo central group
