
Nigeria’s National Senior Men’s football team Super Eagles have arrived in Portugal ahead of their international friendly match against the FIFA World Cup-bound Portuguese led by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fresh from their successful outing at the Unity Cup in London, the three-time African champions were held to a 2-2 draw by Poland in an international friendly played in Warsaw on Wednesday.
The friendly match is expected to provide another important test for the Super Eagles as Chelle continues to assess his squad ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures
Portugal, who have already secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will use the game as part of their preparations, while Nigeria will be aiming to build on their recent performances and maintain momentum against one of Europe’s top sides.
The encounter between Nigeria and Portugal, is billed for the Estádio Municipal de Leiria on Wednesday June 10th.
