Former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 House of Representatives election in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State

Elumelu who stated this at Oshimili South local government council Secretariat, venue of the collation centre for the party primary, promised to restore what he described as the era of “impactful representation” in the constituency.

He expressed gratitude to party leaders, stakeholders, and members of the APC for entrusting him with the party’s ticket, describing the nomination as a collective mandate by the people of the constituency.

The Returning Officer for the Aniocha Oshimili federal constituency APC direct primary, Val Areyeka , had declared Ndudi Elumelu winner of the APC ticket having won overwhelming majority of the votes in Oshimili South, Oshimili North, Aniocha South and Aniocha North that make up the federal constituency.

Elumelu said the outcome of the exercise reflected the overwhelming confidence of party faithful and residents across the four local government areas that make up the federal constituency.

He assured party members that their decision would not be misplaced, promising stronger representation, increased visibility, and greater access to development opportunities for the constituency if elected in 2027.

The former lawmaker said the people of Aniocha/Oshimili were eager for the return of robust representation at the National Assembly, marked by constituency projects and empowerment programmes in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, road infrastructure, housing, and electricity.

According to him, his return to the House of Representatives would reconnect the constituency to national opportunities and attract more projects, jobs, and empowerment initiatives for the people.

Elumelu also described the APC ticket as a “unity ticket,” stressing that the people of Aniocha/Oshimili had once again demonstrated their resolve to rise above division and speak with one voice.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said had strengthened the APC nationwide.

The APC candidate also praised Delta State Governor, Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for the implementation of the MORE Agenda, which he noted had further consolidated support for the party in Delta State.

He equally acknowledged former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the APC National and State Working Committees, members of his campaign council, and supporters for their contributions to his emergence.

Calling for unity ahead of the 2027 general elections, Elumelu appealed to other aspirants and aggrieved party members to embrace sportsmanship and work together for the success of the APC.

“I cannot do this alone. We must not rest on our oars. We must strengthen our unity, set aside all divisive inclinations, brace up and redouble our efforts to ensure the victory of our party in the 2027 general elections.

“I therefor plead with the other aspirants and every aggrieved member of our party to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and come together in the overall interest of our people. With our collective commitment, victory is assured to the glory of God and service to our people.
