OLU OF WARRI TO FACILITATE SYNERGY BETWEEN NDDC AND IOCs

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty,  Ogiame Atuwatse The Third, has pledged to facilitate the synergy between Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC and International Oil Companies Operating within his kingdom. 

 His Majesty Atuwatse Three who made the pledge during a courtesy visit by NDDC management to his Palace in Warri Delta State, insisted that he believes in the development of Niger Delta region. 

According to the Monarch, the development of Niger Delta region will facilitate the overall development of Nigeria giving presence of oil and gas in the region. 

He prayed that the present administration of NDDC will achieve significant milestones.

Earlier on, the Managing Director NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku who stated that NDDC is expanding its frontiers of partnership via the Public Private Partnership, PPP scheme, to be able to deliver monumental projects in Niger Delta region, told the king that the management has been in touch with SPDC, NNPC and other stakeholders for the same purpose.  

Dr. Ogbuku while expressing the resolve of management to resocitate the construction of  Escravos Road, noted that when completed, it would bring back commercial activities in the state.  

The Managing Director sought the support of the Monarch to reach out to International Oil companies operating in the area, to buy into the PPP scheme of NDDC. 

The visit was the first to any traditional Institution by the present MD and was accompanied by other executive and management staff
