BENEFICIARIES OF PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION BY 6 DIVISION GARISON IN AHOADA COMMEND NIGERIAN ARMY

Beneficiaries of palliative distribution by 6 Division Garison Nigerian Army in Ahoada East Local Government Area Rivers State, have expressed delight over the gesture.
Speaking while receiving the items, the Local Government Chairman, Mr. Ben Eke who noted that the people have enjoyed robust relationship with Nigerian Army, pleaded with them to go after oil thieves operating along East West Road.
Similarly two women, Mrs. Theresa Mensa and Juliet Onyemaechi appreciated the Army for reaching out, adding that it has become an encouraging tradition by Nigerian Army.
While addressing the Community, the Commander 6 Division Garison, Brigadier General Edet Effiong who insisted that Nigerian Army is ready to neutralize criminality in the locality, solicited timely and useful information that would help to fish out vandals from their hideouts.
Brigadier General Effiong who is also the Commander, Sector Three, Operation Delta Safe, OPDS, explained that the Army has a human face and understands the prevailing economic realities.
He appreciated the General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, Major General Jamal Abdussalam for approving the distribution.
The Garison Commander said the outreach is in consonance with ongoing Exercise Still Waters 3, meant to guarantee peaceful environment during the yuletide.
The palliatives distributed include, medical items, noodles, bags of rice and other food stuffs.
